Born in Patna, Bihar in 1986, Sushant Singh Rajput covered a very long journey to reach where he is today. He is a well-known name in the Hindi film industry today but his struggle and roots are not known to many. Sushant received his primary education from St. Karen’s High School, Patna. He was a bright student and like most of his fellow students, he also decided to make the grade in Engineering and appeared in a range of engineering entrance exams including AIEEE.
In spite of going through a tough phase of life after her mother’s demise, he bagged the 7th rank in AIEEE and cleared most of the exams in which he appeared. He chose the Mechanical stream in the Delhi College of Engineering. Everything was going good in his career and then a breeze came and drove his focus towards the acting career when he was in the third year of engineering.
Sushant made his mind and decided to bring home the bacon entering his foot into the Bollywood elevator. He came to Delhi and joined Shiamak Davar’s dance classes and Barry John’s acting classes. Nobody knew at that point of time that a superstar is in making. He edged his dancing and acting skills and started working at Shaimak’s Dance company. He performed as a background dancer for years during Shiamak’s abroad dance tours. The destiny had something else planned for Sushant.
He made his small screen acting debut with Balaji Telefilm’s Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil TV serial. People started liking his charming personality and good acting skills. The TV serial which gave him immense popularity was Pavitra Rishta. He played the role of Maanav in that serial against his co-actress Ankita Lokhande. Sushant dated Ankita for many years and they were a much cherished on-screen and off-screen couple.
Sushant left the small screen and got a big chance to prove his acting skills in the 2013 released flick, Kai Po Che, which was quite appreciated by the critics. Sushant drove the attention of many filmmakers, bollywood personalities and the Indian audience through his great acting and awesome personality in the movie. This was his first but not last milestone in the Hindi film industry. He gave many power-packed performances in the movies like Sudh Desi Romance, Byomkesh Bakshi and M.S Dhoni.
Sushant is considered as one of those actors in Bollywood who shattered all the stereotype beliefs like an outsider can’t make it big in the mammoth Bollywood industry.
