Here is how the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ of Bihar reacted on the property raid of Lalu Prasad Yadav

The immediate denial of ruling Janta Dal in Bihar has led them to defend RJD’s Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family members against the corruption charges. Lalu Prasad and the other members of the Yadav clan were accused of acquiring land illegally. The accusation was made by BJP’s Sushil Kumar Modi. It is needless to say that the allegation has managed to loosen up the base of the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ of Bihar. The allies are slowly keeping them away from the political party RJD. According to a recent report on Monday, JD (U)’s Rajya Sabha Member RCP Singh refused to defend anybody under any circumstances.

RCP Singh is also considered to be close to the chief minister of Bihar. He also said that JD (U) was not at all responsible for speaking on the matter of charges against Lalu’s list of family assets. He also said that the people who are being accused of adultery should answer to everyone out there. The senior leaders of the RJD retaliated and said that RCP Singh is not the real leader. He was a bureaucrat who was brought down in the politics. JD (U) must not at all think that RJD is weak. It is because of the former’s vote that they are in power today. This statement was given by Bhai Birendra who is the senior legislator of the party, and closest to Lalu. According to a leading daily, Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed that Lalu Prasad Yadav had got illegally acquired land on his name. He got hold of the land in exchange for tickets for standing in the election as well as lobbying for the ministerial berths during the reign of UPA-I.

Modi also claimed that the land was given by the former central minister Kanti Singh who registered the names of Lalu’s two sons, Tejashwi and Tej Pratap as the owners. Modi directly asked why ministers like Kanti Singh, Raghunath Jha, and Premchand Gupta had to gift such a valuable property to Yadav’s family. He also answered the question that in exchange for the gift, Lalu had given the tickets for participating in the election for RJD. Modi also accused Lalu of acquiring three shell companies. The Mahagathbandhan has got the highest number of the members of the Legislative Assembly. Their support to the government is the key factor for existence. It is evident that the Mahagathbandhan, the historic alliance of the Bihar which took place in the year 2015 Bihar Assembly Election is now standing on shaky ground. Only time will prove whether this alliance will stay rock solid or it will collapse like a house of cards!

The Income Tax department of the Government of India conducted surveys and raids at nearly twenty-two locations of New Delhi and its outskirts on the accused Lalu’s alleged one thousand crore rupees worth property. On this very incident, the RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav said that BJP had let loose the government officials after him on baseless accusations.
