Marriage is an auspicious occasion that every couple wants to celebrate in a special way. In fact, it is one of the most memorable days in one’s life. People spend billions to make it special. But there is this couple from California who went a step further and made it special yet an adventurous & fun filled wedding day. 35-year-old James and 32-year-old Ashley set a unique trend and went beyond the stereotypical big fat weddings of all times in all aspects.
Who would not be thrilled by such a magnificent and thrilling beauty of marrying amidst the mountains? The very thought of such a photo shoot is sufficient enough to fixate you on Mount Everest as your dream wedding destination.
Isn’t it amazing to even exchange ritual marital vows at the height of 17000 feet right above the sea level? The whole journey to reach to such a great height must have required lots of planning and preparation. It took the couple three weeks to reach to the Mount Everest base camp. In fact, they were planning the wedding since a year. Well, it is understood that without the support of their family and friends, it would not have been possible to accomplish this task. So, they were backed up by their guide as well as adventurous wedding photographer throughout the entire journey. So their photographer, Charleton Churchill was able to capture the special moments in those breathtaking views.
This whole idea of choosing an adventurous wedding over a typical wedding is so unique that when asked Ashley, she said, “After much deliberation, we decided a traditional wedding was not the right fit for us. As much as we would have loved to share our special day with our family and friends, we were both drawn to the idea of eloping during an incredible vacation.”
In fact, it just seems cool and nice but the efforts it actually took to make it a successful event were much more tedious. The extremely chilled and cold weather, mountain sickness, fatigue due to climbing, etc. cannot be overseen. But still, Ashley and James managed to bear such adverse conditions and make their marriage the most memorable day. Charleton Churchill the photographer, who has captured every single emotion through his camera, has tried to write the beautiful journey on his blog. He has sought to convey what pain, happiness, struggle they actually went through to reach that point. Since the wedding was not a conventional one, there was no minister to help them in exchanging vows, but they did everything on their own.
Love has no boundaries. If it is from the heart and if it is true, we can see wonders happening in love. Undoubtedly, travel lovers will definitely admire the whole idea of such an incredible wedding.
